Of course I sign this petition!!! I am outraged and cannot conceive this even being considered. Make them (!) be removed from society and put in those facilities. They are the ones that meet the criteria of being utterly insane!.

Stop involuntarry commitment of children.

Let's get rid of psychiatric involvement with children period! There is no real intention to help so they should not be allowed to operate under that guise.

Keep destructive psychs away from children with their mind-damaging drugs and degrading treatments.

Involuntary baker acting of children is horrible. How can this be done without parental consent? It's actually kidnapping with legal government consent. This needs to stop now! We need to follow the 3 provisions suggested: "1) Parents or legal guardians are notified immediately by the school officials (not the police) BEFORE the police are contacted and BEFORE involuntary examination is initiated 2) Parents or legal guardians are told to come to their child's school immediately and get their child and given information on the situation. If no contact at first call - all emergency numbers for the child are called until someone is reached 3) At NO time is a child removed from school premises (unless there is an imminent danger situation) without parental presence. The only exception would be a case in which there is an extreme and imminent danger to self or others that cannot be handled despite honest efforts on the part of the school and school officials. In other words, parents or legal guardians are given the option to take full responsibility for their child and work with the school and police to calm the situation down before involuntary examination is initiated."

Please end this horrific law! This is terrorizing our kids.

This is unconstitutional (putting a child in the hands of psychiatrists without parental knowledge and permission) because it is cruel and unusual punishment. The law needs to be abolished.

Parents or legal guardian have every right to take responsibility of their children, DO NOT take away from them!

If people really believe that the days of "One Flew over the Kocoos Nest are behind us, they are seriously misguided! I was forced pysch meds against my will and terrorized by the staff who judged me as garbage, their own words, I was mentally tortured at University Hospital at Stony Brook CPEP PSYCHIATRIC WARD, in Long Island NY. Have documentation that I was there. I remember names and have law suit pending. Why would they send me from their PSYCHIATRIC ward to another PSYCHIATRIC WARD upon release.
