The Baker Act initially was created for positive reasons; however there are clearly unintended consequences most commonly Physicians that over zealously reach to prescribe harmful antipsychotic medications at the first opportunity which is dangerous and a blatant disregard to the persons health. There needs to be a complete overhaul of this protocol or more lives will be devastated versus saved

I think this law needs to be changed. Children are not cattle, that can be treated this way. These are 3rd world country ideas, not a modern society like USA is supposed to be.

No one can force a child to go a psyque institution without parents concent.
Also, no one can force any one to go to a phyque institution with out evidence of be dangerous. Just for some weird ideas, no one is subject to the insane treatment on physique institution.
Those institutions doesn't make sane to anyone. Or be able to help anyone. Is just a drug business.

This is beyond belief that they remove your child from school, transport them to a psychiatric facility and hold them, all without parental consent. I am outraged!
