The baker act has got to be seen for what it is: covertly undermining parents. I don't understand how common sense didn't prevail here, just contact the child's parents or another relative...how hard is it to just obtain emergency contact numbers???

A parent should be consulted and notified if there's an issue not just send them off to a psychiatric facility. If a child gets arrested for doing something illegal that's a little different but the parent would be notified. It doesn't provide me any more safety for my child to go to a school that allows such shocking acts.

My child was removed from her school without my consent she is only 14 years old and put in a police car and placed in a mental health center for children! I would have gotten her help and picked her up at school and gotten her the help she needs! I am her father! Period my child my responsibility not a school !

It's not right to take her parents right from them because you feel that a child needs to be drug. All problems have a root to it, so the source of the problem need to be found out and not covered up my drugs
