Having just been wrongfully Baker Acted myself, I do not want my child, or ANY child to go through this.

My daughter was Baker Acted. Have only lived here 4 months. After forcing admission I now have to pay $450!!!!

This law is an outrage and it violates Constitutional Civil Rights and Hu m an Rights. Psychiatry is a failed pseudo science and it should NEVER be given the ability to take children and mutilate their souls with their barbaric and inhumane practices.
When this inhumanity haopens to you, your child or a loved one, then you will understand the truth of this, but I strongly suggest that you not wait that long before taking responsibility for this and affecting necessary reform!

This law gives too much power to the state. It is a clear violation of the US Constitution and results all too often in unlawful incarceration. Health facilities are abusing the Baker Act to increase their budgets.

The petition must be taken seriously and put into action. It's unconsionable to remove a child from school and placed with the law without a parent or guardian present. Thx must stop!!!
