Return Ankeny Community School District Students and Teachers to the Classroom for FULL-TIME, On-Site, In-Person Learning

9 days of classes in September is not an education. On the virtual days my son rarely has any work to do. There is no learning going on.

The current set up is not working for the kids. They aren’t learning anything via the current set up

The hybrid learning is not going well. The virtual days have no lessons. Just a bunch of poorly recorded videos and multiple choice guessing. Also, my kids aren’t at home. I work. The go to daycare on off days. We do virtual learning at 7 PM when the kids are worn out and not focused.

I am a respiratory therapist. I have front line experience. The pediatric population is very low risk and if by chance they are positive they will still shed the virus at a very small percentage. They are very rarely symptomatic and need school to thrive.

Feel like the safety precautions in place now are sufficient and suitable for everyone to be back

Please put the kids back in the classroom.

Each and every school academic is just as important as the one before and the one after. I have a freshman’s and a senior in the Ankeny school district this year. They need to be back. Full time. IN school. My daughter needs to be back. Academically, socially, mentally. My son, a senior, needs to be back. I’m imploring you to reconsider the 100% full time at school. If there are students/parents who want to remain 100% virtual, Ankeny schools has effectively shown that is possible. Let’s make is possible for this option as well.

All kids need to be back in school. They deserve a good education

Open the schools now. The kids are falling behind with this online crap!

Keep emotion and politics out of decisions.

I'm concerned about my ability to work and hold my daughter accountable for daily assignments. Our household is composed is two working parents, so we need to be able to maintain that as well. My daughter thrives on feedback and establishing relationships with her adult teachers. I feel like hybrid is making this ever more stained.

My granddaughter needs to be in school full time!

Ideally full time with little to no use of masks. Our poor kids need to focus on education not fear
