STOP HR 6939 FROM BECOMING LAW

We need to protect public lands, especially the over four million acres in my beautiful home state, Wyoming.

I am a 26-year Wyoming resident and see no merit in this bill. It is simply an insult to those of us who live here and use these lands constantly.

I value any public land in Wyoming, and even more so when that land CANNOT be used to graze cattle. Leave it natural; let our land be preserved for eternity as it might be the only land representative of its natural self.

We must preserve public lands and wilderness, the ecosystems that exist within them for our children and for the health of the planet.

As a Wyoming land owner and lover of public land, I want to oppose HR6939.

These public lands deserve protection so that future generations can experience wilderness and that wildlife and habitats are preserved.

The bill was drafted without a single public meeting and threatens over four million acres of wildland in Wyoming. The result would be the largest rollback of public land protection in Wyoming history,

I hunt and fish on national forest and BLM land

As you know, everyone who loves public land is outraged by this bill and rightfully so. There are only so many areas in this nation that are protected from drilling, mining, and off-road vehicles. If this bill goes forward and these areas are opened up to mining, drilling, roads, etc. there is no going back, EVER! Our public lands sets us apart from all other countries and is a big reason for tourism, which is Wyoming's number 2 source of income. Please stop this bill.

This is so wrong and she doesn't represent what Wyoming or most Americans stands for! She nor anyone else has the right to do this without consent from the public!!!!!

We live in Wilson, (as does Rep. Cheney) and we constantly use the Palisades Wilderness Study area as do all of our neighbors and friends. We spend time there in all four seasons of the year. We value it highly and would be horrified to have it released from WSA status.

Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

The WSAs have been well integrated into planning land use. By not allowing for public input, DC took away local residents’ opportunity to influence our Commons.

For many of us, wild lands are Wyoming's most precious resource. This bill threatens protected lands that are cherished by locals, and promise access for ALL American citizens.

It is madness that Wyoming would consider endangering wolves and wildlife any further.

At the very least, there should be public input on the uses and the appropriation of our public lands.

I find it extremely disturbing that this is even seeing the light of day without public input on the publics land!

The most basic way to define a country is by it's borders, it's land. The way in which a country protects it's land is indicative of it's humanity and values.
