This bill needs to have local input before passage. May I remind you that you do not live in
Wyoming, did not receive 100% of the vote, and this bill threatens over four million acres of wildland in Wyoming. It will not protect public lands in Wyoming leaving it open to drilling, mining, and off=road vehicles. It would threaten the environmental protections in place for these acres. It is short-sighted and does not protect the future of these lands.

I strongly oppose this bill. As a lifelong Wyomingite, it saddens me that someone who represents "us" would introduce a bill that eliminates some of Wyoming's wild places.

So many people in wyoming love their public lands for their wildlife value, souce of clean water, scenic beauty, and recreation. If we are serious about diversifying the economy of wyoming, we cannot return to the old days of valuing land only for commodity production and below cost timbering. We need to look forward to an economy for the 21st century, not a return to the 1980s. This bill is a huge step backwards - please defeat it.

After a couple of days camping and hiking in Adobe Town several years ago, a friend and I were reinforced in our belief that these lands need to remain in at least the near wilderness condition they are in now . That was particularly reinforced by our exit through the oil and gas development immediately to the east of the area.

I have spent the better part of my recreational activities enjoying public lands. From hunting and fishing to camping and hiking, our public lands have been instrumental in creating my personhood and love of my country. My greatest memories in public lands are growing up in the country. There were thousands of miles of BLM in my backyard for exploring. I chased horny toads, discovered smoke rings, and ran in the wild. I cannot think of a better way to grow up loving Wyoming and valuing its public lands. We must protect them for generations to come because nature and solitude are more rare than ever. The lessons of our land are the most critical for the incoming generations who will face the unknown and known consequences of environmental degradation.
