This statue has been there as long as I can remember. The pavement is wide enough there, wider with the statue than some other areas of town but I don't see those pavements being widened !? If it is a stability issue, just pin it to the pavement or the building. Would be very sad to see it go. Sad the council is not bothering itself with actual issues.

I would hate to see this be moved I remember it being their wen I was a little girl in 70s part of history please let it stay everything else has changed in inverness

Highland Council seem incapable of common sense judgements. This figure has probably been there longer than the council and is doing no harm. The Council should be supporting business in the city centre, eg by increasing availability of car parking, not driving them away.

What a lot of nonsense. That model has been there since I was a wee girl and never caused any problems. Queensgate just wouldn't look right without him standing there. The Council need to spend their doing something more constructive than this methinks.
