This Butcher model has been a part of Inverness for decades, it's a city, how can this be in the way. Ridiculous. The residents of the town who pay tax, council tax, car tax and spend their money in the town, including regular visitors who are from here should have a say.

I grew up with the jolly butcher outside Fraser's, as did my parents before me. The floating pier (alleged work of art) is more of a danger to society, not to mention an eyesore, compared to the jolly butcher. The council needs a reality check and start listening to the people who voted you in (and will no doubt vote you out again).

It's a landmark why would you change what has been there for so many years! Stop wasting time on long term businesses and concentrate on the mess of the city centre !

Shame shame on our council I am 75 years old and I cannot remember the jolly butcher not been there.He is part of the streetscape and should remain.
