Growth is not the sustainable answer... and rubber-stamping development in the name of "growth" -- is not good. Especially when so many developers are receiving tax benefits from their work.... I wish we could ALL get tax benefits for doing "good things".
We must band together our neighborhoods and create a cohesive web of opposition.

No to Bull Run. Herr Lane cannot handle the traffic it already bears. Also, the affected nature preserve needs to be protected. Animals must have a place to go and be safe.

I live in the neighborhood and I oppose the townhomes at bull run for the following reasons-
They offer no buffer of reasonable open space, vegetative margins or transition of densities. Would create negative impacts to air quality, noise and lighting pollution to nearby homes or Allow for no buffer of reasonable open space, vegetative margins or transition of densities.
Not too mention it will add too much traffic to an already extremely congested Herr Ln, specifically with the elementary schools, High school, new VA construction and proposed apartment complex.

Over 500 apartments, an enormous VA hospital and the Bull Run Project is too much for an area that is less than one square mile. Traffic is already horrendous from multiple schools in the area and exits from the expressway. This is a terrible concept for the space have some mercy on the residents who already live here

The density of the proposed development is not consistent with the area, and will exacerbate traffic issues which will already be worsened by the new VA hospital. At a minimum, the additional 72 units of the Bull Run Townhomes should be eliminated; however, the townhomes are preferable to the 500-unit Providence Point design which is absolutely out of character for the area.

I have lived in Graymoor/Devondale for 41 years. The traffic on Herr Lane has gotten to the point that I check the time of day before I leave the house to analyze if there will be bad school traffic. Several hundred apartments would only make that even worse.

Request that all citizen comments be READ at the meeting rather than steam rolling over the sentiments of the community that will be affected by this development.
I oppose zoning changes for further development of this area and the demolition of historic homes.
