Hate speech against LGBTQ+ communities can be extremely damaging and destroy lives. This campaign aims to encourage facebook to stand up against homophobic messages being spread on facebook. A group entitled 'heterosexuals inspiring pride' has spread deeply homophobic messages against gay rights by making claims including that homophobia is and invented word to make 'straight people feel bad about being normal. The group has been reported several times but no action has been taken regarding the offending posts by facebook. Sign this petition if you think: 1. The group should have its offensive posts removed (heterosexual pride is fine but not when it becomes homophobia) 2. Facebook should do more to prevent hate crime on its network. Thanks.

I have compiled the evidence of these policy violations and am currently drafting a formal letter to the Facebook safety team. My next step is to coordinate with a local journalist who has expressed interest in covering the platform's failure to moderate this content.
