I am in full support of the residents who are petitioning against their homes being destroyed.

Congratulations on getting organised to stop these destructive plans. Our homes and communities need investment not demolition!

As local resident I oppose the plan to demolish the existing houses and support their refurbishment instead. Has there been a formal planning application logged for this development? A higher density housing development would have a negative impact on the neighbourhood and the neighbours amenity: - Blake Rd is already used as a rat run to avoid the crossing of Bounds Green station. More residents would lead to more traffic issues. These traffic issues have already been documented in relation to Winton Avenue. - This area already suffers from a lack of primary school places. An increase of number of families would only increase the issue. Due to the location, it is unlikely that any new home will ever remain 'affordable'.

This is a disgraceful proposal. These are long standing homes, not just properties. People's well-being is a far richer outcome than financial gain. Shame on you Haringey Council

No need to demolish long tenant homes. Modernise & insulate instead. Elderly people do not need/require ultramodern utilities! Just functional, reliable & save easy to use appliances. So refurbish instead of destroying. They deserve to keep their homes after paying taxes, &SS all their life's without harassment of council budget requirements & local political campaigning promises. Sickening!!
