I live in one of the properties with flats advertised on Booking and AirBnb and it frustrates me that the premium rent I'm paying makes no difference to Get Living

Flats designed to be lived in all year round shouldn't be rented to short-term, noisy holiday-makers

This encourages poor behaviour in estate and nobody able to manage this.

I feel unsafe as a woman occupying with GetLiving now that strangers are partying until early in my block and knocking on my door late. This was sold as a neighbourhood and now is anything but...

I don't think this is right and it is not what the London 2012 Legacy is about. Our rents should be lowered and more opportunity needs to be given to people of lower-income.

I have 2 days in a row that random people knocking my door at about midnight. This should not be the quality of life considering I’m paying over 2500 a month

I really feel for those impacted by the noise/security risks - if this happens in my block I'll be moving out. It's a grim way to treat long-term residents who just want a quiet, cared-for place to live, and who are already paying absurdly high rent. GLL is part-owned by Qatar - it can't be so hard up that it needs to do this, surely. Pure greed, and a long way from what the 2012 legacy was supposed to be about.

i do not support get living in renting out the residential the apartments for short term tenants. We moved to Insignia point from mimosa house as an up grade. Get living has been amazing as my partner’s landlord for over 3 years and now that we are moving together we didn’t thing twice to go for get living again given their outstanding services but knowing about this made me upset. We thought that upgrading to a much better and brand new apartment will give us a better quality of living, mostly secured and we now worry about our safety.

I am a resident, GLL service and attitude is appalling and frankly incomprehensible for the rent we pay. Our building has not been touched yet, but it that were to happen I'd move out in the blink of an eye. Maybe they should start thinking of the money they are losing while they're trying to beg pennies with unfortunate ideas.

I’m a former resident of Laurel Point and fully support the action being taken against GLL letting flats in this way, which is at best, not within the spirit of the contract and at worst, possibly illegal.

This is so wrong, to jeopardise tenants' privacy and security to generate cash flow. How is this even legal in a residential building?

Terrible idea funded by greed, just lower your rental prices like the rest of London.

GL are a******** landlords ,since their partial change in ownership . Olympic legacy and vision? new touchy feely community village ? really ? or just another becoming just another hardcore commercial souless housing venture with no sense of community and longer term resident settlement ?

We are already paying a premium price for renting in the East Village which is supposed to be a quality-of-life-focused development. By renting out the rooms for short stays through Airbnb and Booking our quality of life is being disrupted.

This is wrong. As a female living by herself, this worries me for multiple reasons. Additionally making additional profit from these ‘hotel’ stays during a pandemic, where strangers should be staying at home yet not considering rental adjustments is unfortunate.
