So glad I left GLL - if they want to let out apartments as holiday let's, so be it, but you've just lost £2500 a month income from a permanent resident. Go figure out the maths!

Short term rental is a major disturbance and increase in security risk. This can’t be put in place without consultation and consent from the tenants.

I’m not happy to see escort walking out my house half undressed in the morning, or very shady men who smell like weed all over the corridors. I’m not paying so much money for the flat to experience behaviour like this.
People who rent flats in my building don’t respect the rules and so as their residents.

Completely unacceptable, often flats are rented just for a party disturbing the long term residents

Lazy and greedy. Makes a quick buck but has detrimental effect on long-term residents who are paying GLL bills month in month out. They’ll be renting rooms by the hour next...

This is unacceptable on an industrial scale. If GL want to run an Air BnB business on an industrial scale then they should repurpose one of the new buildings for that use only.

Residents shouldn't have to suffer because businesses like GetLiving have flooded the area too many apartments for rent that they now can't fill due to the high rents. No to short term lets, yes to rent reductions so that people can afford to *live* in the area.

East Village is our home. It is not appropriate to rent short let accommodation in blocks in the midst of this family community next door to families. This is a cynical money making plan, the local community was not consulted and would never have agreed. Other illegal Short let’s have caused huge problems, noise and inconvenience. Police have frequently been called because of all night raves. In one block there has been damage and theft of a foyer screen, debris thrown from balcony and dog mess left in the lift. We do not want party let’s in the blocks where we live.
