ITs too bad that that picture does not portray what is reality. The runway is not expanding the Georgetown Airport can not and will never support the larger jets. There is only going to be improvements with a better located taxiway and environmentally safe above the ground fuel tanks installed.

We just moved here and I love the sound of the small planes but when the larger ones go over it shakes our house. You need to keep it as it is or move it.

We have lived in this area for 37 years. The noise and the size of planes just keep getting bigger & louder. So sitting on our porch is not like it used to be!
So be considerate and let us enjoy our homes!

Governing bodies, whether federal or local, are supposed to represent us citizens. Violating a federal law would subject us, individually, to public punishment. For the City to try to keep us in ignorance about their plans for the airport, violating a law in the process, should be punishable. Saying that the airport runways need to be repaired, when the appraisal the City requested, dated November 19, 2014, says "the overall condition of the airfield property is very good," sounds duplicitous. There has been enough unpublicized development at the airport, against the wishes of the general populace. There should be no further upgrades or improvements. Further, any information relating to the airport should be made public in the Williamson County Sun.

The Community Impact Newspaper ran an opinion poll in 2014 requesting readers opinions on a variety of options for Georgetown Airport. Over 2/3 of respondents favored moving the airport to a safe out of town location. That opinion poll still remains accurate for our entire community today.

I already cringe every time I hear one of the larger planes/helicopters fly over my home. I fear for my life, my neighbors lives and my children and grandchildren's lives who also live right next to the airport. We all love our neighborhood--as is! It's time for sensible and forward thinking. Georgetown will continue to grow and the airport which does serve many people from neighboring cities, too, need to realize it's time to move!!! Time to expand and think about it's limited space. Anyone with the semblance of intelligence knows that means move it eastward and north. Where the price of land is still reasonable and you have plenty to pick from!

There has been enough expansions, crashes and deaths. Let's not increase the risk of more.

the planes that come through are already too large for the airport. And it's disgusting how they purposely buzz houses well after 10 pm.
Please stop the extension and move the airport outside the city of Georgetown!
