It's not been too long since the hoard of tears flooded Nigeria my beloved motherland for the missing Chibok girls. These distraught courted global sympathy and the indelible hashtag #BringBackOurGirls became a banner for the world..

So many conspiracy theorists have implied that the girls were never missing in the first place and this was only a political ploy. Be this true or not the official story implies that mothers have wept and are still weeping. The president has failed to abide by the oath he swore (to serve and "protect") and instead of following the likes of the honorable ex-South Korean Prime minister who stepped down for his failure to save 200 people in a ferry disaster, GEJ(GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan) is on the verge of opting to run for a second term.

He is well within his rights to opt for a second term and I encourage him to do so, but what I don't encourage him to do is to mock the Chibok girls who are still insulated from their families and in captivity by spear heading his campaign with the phrase "#BRINGBACKGoodluck2015". Whether or not he's aware of this, this is an utter mockery and a failed attempt to regain the confidence of Nigerians. It is not absolutely clear as to whether or not GEJ himself has endorsed this campaign started for him by G.I.F.T (Goodluck Initiative For Transformation). But neither has he openly refuted this indiscretion, so thus; a failure to refute is synonymous to consonance with this travesty of a campaign.

You may not give this a second glance and just ignore it as another political pile of gibberish but in the larger scheme of things, you are Nigerian and the state of Nigeria should concern you. Let it be clear I do not wish to impede his run for a second term, only wish to stop this mockery and the opt for a change of the banner phrase that coats his campaign.
