I'm concerned that the proposed development violates will violate the rule of law and am urging others to review the parking variance which will place a burden on the residents, shops, and the local community center. Further, the building height of the proposed four-story project appears excessive in comparison to the existing single-family homes and duplexes which are 2-1/2 stories.

There's no good reason not to provide one parking space per unit. Developers can build underground parking. There's no good reason to build such a tall and large building in a neighborhood of mostly single-family and duplex homes. There's no good reason to escape providing affordable rentals.

10 parking spots for 23 units is just wrong. You need a minimum of 1 parking spot per unit if not two.

If this moves forward it will cause many traffic and parking issues and a 4-story blah building does not fit in this neighborhood.

While I am not opposed to a multiple unit building at the Fullertown Flats; I feel this project is too big for the site & parking must be provided for each unit of housing.

I like to be able to visit my friend Bill in his neighborhood. Parking is already hard to find. I know HE bikes sometimes. I bus frequently, but there are few busses that run across (E-W) South Minneapolis, making this area hard to access by bus. Any new development must be required to provide sufficient parking.

need more parking spaces if you're going to do this.

No reason to allow this project to go forward when it violates so many existing zoning rules. Why have zoning restrictions if you are going to follow them.

This is not at all in harmony with this neighborhood. The number of exceptions alone should put a stop to this. Follow the rules, including those in the 2040 plan, or don't build.

This proposal is too large for this street and area with lack of parking on an already busy and full street.

It is time to stop giving out variances to any new developments. Variances are for critical exceptions only.
Each new development MUST fit into the current buildings surrounding it.

That block of Grand Ave already has congested parking; and is narrow to drive through, meaning that more traffic in the area will noticeably impact current residents of the neighborhood. The size of the proposed development is out of scale for the neighborhood.

Totally disrespectful of the neighbors and contrary to any community sense of belonging to a neighborhood. What community ownership will the new residents have!

As a ward II resident I strongly urge Jeremy Schroeder to being listening to his constituents and deny the variance for this building. It is too large for the neighborhood and the parking is inadequate. I share an alley with six multiplexes. All are rented by young people and they all drive cars. Time for the city to open its eyes and realize that adequate parking is still required.

I know from personal experience in an apartment in a first-ring suburb that if you have that many units and only 10 parking spaces, it spells trouble/frustration for the whole neighborhood because more than ten people will have vehicles they need to put somewhere. There are so many apartment buildings already up/going up in Mpls. Preserve what is there now. Please do not put in this development.

Too big- not enough parking.
