This is simply wrong and so detrimental to this area. Such a shame to see such greed manifest itself here.

I believe the developer should follow the regulations and building codes. I do not think he should be given the variance.

Not in support of poorly scaled buildings in beautiful 48/Grand! Plus, pouring more cars on an already full street.

This leaves way too little green space on the lot and provides much too few parking spots.

This building will not be able pass the 2040 plan.
The size of the building will clash with all the residential 1 to two story houses. It will change the character of our neighborhood in a negative way.

Crooks doing this. Who is getting a kickback on this ridiculous building.
Felon lawyer, level3 sex offender put in the house to be torn down.
No honesty in this at all.

I support increased density, but the increased density strategy needs to be thoughtful, so that it is not at the expense of our established neighborhoods. This project is out of scale with the surrounding neighborhood which is predominately 1 and 2 story single family homes with a couple of 2-3 story four and eight plex rental buildings. I live a couple of blocks away, but I believe the folks that live on this block, that have made a significant financial and emotional investment in this community, should be included in the the decision to change the rules to allow a project to be built that will have a long-term impact on their community and their financial investment.

I urge rejection of the requested variance. I fully support densification of our neighborhood within the structure of the proposed Minneapolis 2040 plan.
I live the n the 4800 block of Garfield and drive on Grand often. The additional burden on parking on this heavily used bus route will be very problematic and, I predict, often unsafe. The proposed building height will create an eyesore in the neighborhood.

Please follow the 2040 Plan, which has been years in the making. Do not push this through right before the vote on the 2040 document, which has been carefully planned with input of vested parties for many years.
"On December 7, 2018, the Minneapolis City Council directed staff to submit a final draft of Minneapolis 2040 to the Metropolitan Council for their review. That review is complete, and the Metropolitan Council is scheduled to consider Minneapolis 2040 for approval on September 25, 2019. Following approval from the Metropolitan Council, the Minneapolis City Council will take final action on Minneapolis 2040 on October 11, 2019, and the document will take effect on November 16, 2019.

This project has too many apartments and not enough parking for all of them. The building is too many stories high. 23 units and only 10 parking spaces? I am totally against this and live 2 blocks away.
Where are all these residents going to park?
