It has to be done. We do it for dogs, and we also need to do it for cats. It's only fair who are carers of cats!

I love cats & dogs but don't understand why the law only states vets for a dog, they're both pets so what's the difference..

Why should cats be treated any differently to dogs?? As owners, we do not love our cats less than our dogs. Cats are no less important than dogs. So why should they suffer??

Too many cats get run over and left to die. And these cats are often family to people and part of their lives. Change that damn law.

It should be illegal for anyone to hit any animal & leave without stopping to check to see if they can help the animal or call the police.

Somebody knocked my cat down, he was a beautiful loving cat who died alone at the roadside and I was left to find him there dead, I was devastated to say the least. I really hope the law changes.

I hope this does become a law I am very sorry for those who have lost any pet this way my thoughts and prayers are with this family and all others who have suffered the same loss I too have a learning disability I also have a couple of mental disabilties so my cat is not just my pet but also he is a thereapy to me and he is very spoiled i dont know what i would do without him I was picked on through school and unfortunately some adults don't know how to act their age so I still get picked on I've always been closer to animals than people because of these reasons and more I hope for you and your family and for the cats and all animals and the other families who've been through what you have been through with this that this petition helps to make this law come into effect

6 months ago I lost my cat she was hit and the hardest part was knowing she died in pain! I know it would have been harder not knowing what happened to her, a great petition well done you! X
