Drivers should by law stop if they run over a cst or dog. It is like a hit and run if they don't.

People are heart less. I would not be surprised if they stop further up the road to make sure their precious cars not damaged. I drive. And have stopped a few times to assist injured animal. Cats, dogs and even hedgehogs and birds.

Karen Senecal, Massachusetts, United States. A hit and run on an animal here is just the same as a hit and run. Get caught... get big fine and jail time....

We almost lost our cat and would have if the person behind the person who hit her hadn't stopped AND been a vet!

Too many cats and other animals just get left to die. Definitely should be a law to try save some animals lives and there owners a broken hearts

It's the right thing to do. Cats are family members and they need respect.

I agree that drivers and anyone else that sees an injured or dead cat should take them to the nearest vet. I also think that they should report any type of accidents involving cats as often they can run due to fear and hide. To the major majority of owners their cat is part of the family and it can be very distressing if they do not come home

Cars should stop if they hit a cat. That cat is part of someone's family.
