Cats are adorable as dog, people need to be responsible for their action in relation to cats.

As I wait for my very much loved bengal Simba to return after 7 wks, the thought of him being in an accident or left to die on the road breaks my heart, why shouldn't cats have the same rights as dogs......

It should be a crime to run over a cat without helping it or reporting. These animals are beloved pets.

all my cats are micro chipped I currently have one missing motorists should stop if they hit a cat

Why shouldn't motorist have to stop? Cats are loved as much as dogs!
Also ALL council vehicles should have a microchip scanner on board and use when they find deceased animals!

Drivers should stop for cats they have run over, the poor animals could be laying in the road in agony. If picked up, some of them could be saved, rather than being just left in the road to die.

Yes it should be law. I experienced this with a cat. It was only a neighbour who knew my cat who told me or I would never have found him

I've also lost a cat to a hit & run, she was tragically killed instantly. Young lad speeding with his mates in the car on a Saturday night. My lil Amber was about 2 yrs old, she was a rescue altho from a multi cat home not a stray. Vet confirmed head injuries.

2 cats were run over within 2 weeks mine was one of them, I had to bury her on christmas eve, christmas was over for me.

My cat was either hit by a car or attacked. Had people say they saw my cat with attack wounds. Not intirely sure what happened to him. He was found in a bush by the main road. But he was disposed of before (cause he was near a pharmaceutical company) was there security that found him, we couldn't find out what happened to him. We believe he was hit by a car on the main road.

My cat was involved in a hit and run back in April luckily he survived as the next driver stopped but what if didn't a cat is a family member to they should report

Think it's so wrong not to stop for a cat , they live and breath like everything else , human race is so cruel and so many get killed it's wrong there loveing animals like any other

my story very much like Nicoles.one of mine went missing over 2 years ago. The next cat under a year old found dead at the side of the road.Both had been chipped.
