I've got 7 cats they are very much part of the family if any body ever hurt them I would hunt them down xx

My baby kitten was run over on Friday, sadly he didn't make it, we came home and found him. My children and I are devastated. If they had taken him to the vets maybe he would of survived, either way my children wouldn't of had to see their kitten like that! We are all still heartbroken.

These are people's beloved pets, it should be law to stop and look after the cat.....wether taking it to a local vet or contacting the owner. We do not run people over and just leave them....unless we are criminals.

Same thing happened to our boy, 6 months of rehab and £7,000 later he's as good as new but could have saved at least some of his pain if the thoughtless driver had stopped.

this same thing happened to 2 of my cats over the years, it's disgusting that they don't stop and about time things changed.

Lost my cat in this way, a lovely nurse in the car behind stopped and picked him up - the driver must have known he/she hit him. RIP Smudger.

I think it's absolutely heart breaking that people think it's okay not to stop, they are suppose to stop for humans & dogs.. Why are cats any different? My cats are my family, I probably treat them better then I do my family. I've been sat at home for hours before worried to death of where they are at night time & the thought of them lying somewhere is heartbreaking. People should have the respect to take the cat to a local vets if they hit it.

A cat is a member of the family, and you would not leave a human being on the side of a road, so why leave a cat. The owner would rather know its been killed then not to be found at all. -x-
