I think people should have more respect no matter what the animal is it doesn't deserve to die in pain!

All animals are important they are part of our family.

Agree drivers should stop if they hit an animal

You have to stop for dogs so y not cats aswell, they are all part of a family n well loved somewhere

Absolutely this should be law. These are peoples pets and I know from my own experince how upsetting it is when your cat vanishes without a trace. My cat was missing for over week and when he finally dragged himself home it was too late and he died at the vets. Vet said he had signs of being involved in an RTA probably 4-5 days previous. He was in pain and terror that whole time. This isnt allowed for dogs. Neither should it be for cats. They are part of families too.

Its about time people showed compassion; a pet is not only 'just a pet' but a part of that family! Stop and help; its the least you could do!

My cat simba was hit by a car today someone found him curled up under their car unable to move they took him to the vets he had a broken back and sadly isn't with us he was only 6 yrs old xx

So it should I knocked a cat over and sadly it died but I stayed at the scene knocked on people's doors till found the owner he said I seemed more upset then he was xx

I love my cat so much and would be heartbroken if he was hurt and left to die we need to stop cats are family !!!!!

I have lost many cats by cars and only ever had one car stop and thats because i saw it happen. I do think cars should stop but they wont as too many cat haters put there foot down intentionally to hit the cat its sad but a true fact

I had the same situation but the person who hit my cat took her to the vets, I cannot imagine if i had found her muself and agree that it should certainly be the law for people to stop and take the cat into care.

I strongly believe this should be considered, cats are our family members just like dogs.

Drivers should stop for any animals that classes as pets. Disgusting they just hit and run leaving the poor animal to suffer.
