Stop for cats

I agree it should become law to stop I have lost 3 cats and only one person has stopped and they were driving to fast

I would be distraught if one of my cats were hit and just left in the road. it's just human decency to stop the cat you hit is more than likely a member of someone's family. Maybe could even be saved with immediate help instead of left to die a painful death.

Thank you so much to everyone who has signed this petition. So sad to hear so many stories from people who have been through a similar situation as I mine. Hopefully now together we have a voice and can make a change in the law. Thanks again Nicole Waite xx

It's about time the law changed I have lost a few cats on my road an no one ever stop I personally couldn't not

I've had a few of my cats hit by cars and driving have never stopped to see if the cat was ok or Dead it makes me so mad

I am a great cat lover and have lost animals due to peoe driving away and leaving them to die if u hit a child and drove away u could face prison these animals are our baby's too x

I cannot believe that it is not law to report the death or injury of any animal caused by vehicle drivers. It is just inhumane to leave an injured, suffering animal by the roadside when their life could be saved if action was taken.

Just wondering how this will be enforced.

It should be law if u know u knocked an animal down to stop and take to vet

Stop for Cats, make it law to stop and take to a vet. Dear or alive so they can look for a microchip.

Should be the same for cats as it is dogs.

Somebody hit my kitten when I was a lot you get and left her at the side of the road, two school girls say with her till she passed away. This needs to be a law, any animal is a part of the family and is missed just as much if anything happens to them x

I lost my first cat due to him being run over by a car which didn't even stop. My pets are part of my family and I think if you are responsible for hitting one in a car you should have the decency to do the right thing!

Discusting how many people dont stop to check makes my blood boil something has to be done

I think also by law ALL cats should be microchipped...We can only live in hope

I no longer have a cat mine died of old age a few years ago but on a bus route we see it a lot, so will gladly sign
