The mayor has mentioned that she intends to hold a referendum on stopping the addition of fluoride to our municipal water.  Please sign this petition and let us speed up the process.  Fluoride does help to prevent cavities, but is added to our drinking water to the benefit of a relatively small portion of our community.  There are very few studies that concentrate on the effects on infants and children, and it is difficult to find out how much is too much.  In the light of all these missing facts, lets err on the side if caution.  Of we do not know for sure what the negative effects are we shouldn't be exposed to a substance until it has been proven benign!
