Sex ed should be up to the parents on when their child is ready or at least jr high. Teaching K-5 grade is inappropriate at this age.

The liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, health care and mental health of their children is a fundamental right. This state, any political subdivision of this state or any other governmental entity shall not infringe on these rights without demonstrating that the compelling governmental interest as applied to the child involved is of the highest order, is narrowly tailored and is not otherwise served by a less restrictive means.

More than half of parents do not think sex education should be taught to children at school, according to a new survey. "This is a sensitive subject and parents have their own way to approach it and want to control what their children know, even more so at a young age. You will lose family support, donations and more importantly students over this. I personally will leave the public school if this is taught. AZ needs to focus on academics not sex. The primary teachers of children are their parents. It is their right and responsibility to teach sexual morality to their children. What is taught behind the closed doors of the sex ed classroom can never be known by parents. Public school sex ed has never been shown to reduce teen pregnancy or abortion. Let this go & let’s focus on rebuilding parent’s trust in the public school system as well as helping our kids reach their highest proficiency in core subjects.

Sex ed is for the home, not the government, especially when the leftist quacks running the Dept. of Ed want to push depraved lifestyles and destroy the 2-parent, man-and-woman family.

A topic dominating discussions at the annual NEA Representative Assembly convention included:
I. NBI 49 calls for homosexual advocacy in schools using materials from GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network).
II. NBI 55 focuses on a “Gender-Inclusive Schools Toolkit” for use in affirmation of gender diversity.
The majority of teachers have no idea our state and national unions are involved in pushing a politically-charged social and sexual agenda. We can and must stand together with teachers and empower them to hold state and national teachers’ unions accountable.

Let kids be kids. Enough of pushing sex on kids. They cannot emotionally handle adult topics. This is child abuse.
