I have a health issue and it was so difficult to get a marriage alliance from the community as my own relatives spread news about my health issues to any new proposal came for me and nothing worked out. My parents had to therefore find someone suitable from outside the community. The priests and community do not care, they humiliated my parents for this saying its their fault that I had to get married from outside Knanaya community. I was denied my marriage at my local Knanaya church where I was Baptised and attended masses all my life. I live in UK now very happy with my wife and my son but this practice of endogamy explusion from church and blaming my parents for this was so hurtful. I do hope one day this will change for the future generations, church leaders and authorities need to wake up and put an end to such practices within church!

Stop this racial practice. We all are children of god and there is no blood relation in front of his eyes among us.we all are one.we and our children need their rights to marry the person they like without being expelled from their parish.they may move out if they wish to.we need our rights as human.stop this unfair practice.we are all sons of jesus christ.

Those knas that want to practice endogamy by marrying into only kna famillies and keeping the so called bloodline pure should have the right to do so. But for a Catholic Church regardless of whether it is a kna or non kna church to refuse catholic sacraments to a practicing catholic is not right. It seems strange that a non kna can attend mass at a kna church and receive the sacrament of communion, but not the sacrament of baptism or marriage? Why the anomaly? Does canon law or Vatican rules and regulations allow this? As I understand it the Vatican is allowing the Kna Church administrators to do what they want to suit the kna community, but this more than the kna community, it is racial bias sanctioned by Rome relating to Catholic sacraments and should not be condoned.
Again, if the bloodline is the primary factor in this debate then a person born to kna parents will always remain a kna by virtue of their birth and therefore cannot be asked to leave a kna church/community. Religion and politics is like oil and water and will not mix!!

It is something similar to the black community that had been suffering in the US and abroad for a very long time. Finally one humanitarian called Martin Luther King, who fought and sacrificed his own life for the civil rightsI and and accomplished a major parts of his dreams. I am hopeful this continued fight might take several years to come and at the very end we will find real light of truth and fairness.
Continue the fight and prayers.

Church do not realise the impact this endogamy practice is causing within families. This is creating division among siblings, cousins but our church leaders are obvlivious of this and seem to promote this discriminatory practice of endogamy is the basis for church membership. This has to STOP !!
