This was originally prescribed to me for menopause symptoms. I was never told of the side effects. I also have a Cochlear Schwannoma (ear tumor). I can NOT MISS ONE DOSE of this or I am in horrible shape. Face numbness, extreme crying, anger, aggressive behavior. This is the worst drug. If I would have known the side effects of missing a dose, I would have never gotten on it. It's gotta go. No one should go through this..

Dr need to stop prescribing this drug
This is the devils drug. If I had of known 10 years ago what being on this drug, as well as detoxing from it would do to me, I never would have taken it. I am on my 4th attempt at detoxing and it is pure hell. The extreme anger, uncontrollable crying and just over all feeling like crap is more than I can handle. I'm just thankful I have a good support system! This drug should be banned for good. It shouldn't ever be allowed to ruin another persons life!

Effexor XR side effects stole years from my life. It gave me the sleeping disorders idiopathic hypersomnia and periodic limb movement disorder. Not to mention the eczema, high blood pressure, excessive sweating, memory loss and the list goes on... All of which- except partial memory loss- have resolved since stopping Effexor. But the withdrawals were awful. The only thing that got me through the horrible withdrawals was knowing the side effects were lessening. This drug made me more suicidal and I lost basically all quality of life. Now, I am 2 years free of Effexor XR and so glad I was actually able to stop.
