Stop Edinburgh Council from banning the bagpipe from Castlehill and the Royal Mile.

The Edinburgh City council and the shops in the vicinity of Castlehill are taking steps to ban our national instrument, the Great Highland Bagpipe, from one of the most famous and iconic streets in Britain the Royal Mile and Castlehill. They are attempting to pass a bylaw to regulate and in turn ban us and other buskers from playing on Castlehill.
We can not allow this. Edinburgh is a well renowned busking city which brings with it culture, colour and vibrancy to a beautiful city known for upholding its traditions. By banning our national instrument they will be taking the first steps to then regulating the whole busking scene in Edinburgh. This will in turn put talented and aspiring musicians off from bringing their talents to our city.
Please join me in signing this petitions and join the fight to stop this from happening.
Thank you.
