There are at least 12 million undocumented immigrants in the US. They are lured in by visions of a better life. Instead they end up abused, long hours with less than minimum pay, as their status denies them rights and puts them at risk of deportation if they complain. This is a broken system in which employers are more than willing to hire cheap labor and the 90% of immigrants, sometimes associated with terrorist rings that smuggled them in and abused them, had already established life in america. Rather than just crackdowns on these innocent people, it would benefit this great nation if we welcomed these immigrants in open arms and granted them legal status.
