Placing any homeless shelter on the Rockaway Peninsula is stupidity!! There are no jobs or adequate assistance for these individuals. PLUS it shows how NYC uses the peninsula as a dumping ground!! And keeps them out of Manhattan so the tourists don' t see them!

Disgusting to have an all make homeless shelter within blocks of public schools. When drug use and rape become relevant we should move them to Bruce bernfelds house

There must be a better place to put this than in the middle of a working class neighborhood.

The Rockaway Park Community has been experiencing a revival since Sandy, a beautiful boardwalk, the Rockaway Ferry, new park areas, planned NYC DOT Capital improvement projects, development of large residential housing projects, construction of a new hotel, private residences are being restored and beautified, businesses are moving into the area, small business is thriving with increased visitors to Rockaway. The Rockaway Park area has been inundated with both Adult & Youth homes / Shelters which have had a negative impact on the Quality of life for both local residents and visitors to Rockaway. Rockaway does not need another shelter!!! Keep Rockaway moving forward NOT backwards!!!

5000 children go to school within 3 blocks of this. Many many of these children walk past this location from transportation to and from school
