The City should put the shelter right across the street from Gracie Mansion. Lets see if our progressive mayor practices what he preaches ?

Rockaway does not need a shelter where their are no resources for them. 1 hospital, poor schools, no training resources, poor transportation. Try Gateway starett city.

Humans like to work as part of their DNA. It feeds their self respect. The best location for integrating adult humans is where there is work opportunities. Work and access to work is more easily accessible inside the 5 boros not out on the penisula.

Mr Rabinowitz and his LLC, and any other LLCs he is involved in need to be investigated for any ties to the DiBlasio administration, the Democratic Party and campaign finances. The charitable organization Black Veterans for Social Justice also needs to be audited. There appear to be many people here making a lot of money, championing themselves as do-gooders. Open up all the books, let’s see who all the known and unknown partners are. Let’s see who is making how much on these homeless individuals per night. Let’s see what the BVSJ is doing with their end of the money intake and how their money is spent. What ratio of their money is spent on charity as compared to what it brings in? What does the director make? It seems like a deal was already made here before the property was purchased. That is our uphill battle.

Establishing a men’s homeless shelter in Rockaway is detrimental to the safety of innocent children as well as downgrading a neighborhood that has been rebuilding since Sandy. This cannot happen!!!

I'm extremely concerned about this warehouse housing 120 men a block from my childrens school. I also don't see how this is a solution to help these homeless individuals.
