I'm totally not opposed to providing a home for the homeless, but we need to insure that resources are available to help these people. Unfortunately, there are NONE of these resources any where near where this shelter is being proposed

The Rockaway peninsula has done more than its fair share of housing poor and indigent people. Shame on the city leaders and politicians who ignore the needs of the hard working people of the peninsula in order to get votes from other areas of New York City.

I agree, the city needs to find another place better suited for this shelter. Where is the concern for our children and the continued growth and rebuilding of our community from the years of neglect and impact from sandy. The city and its leaders just do not seem to care about us as citizens or voters!
