Serves no purpose to place homeless in an area with little public transportation and even less medical treatment centers and stores to purchase food.

HOW MUCH MONEY DID LIBERTY ONE DONATE TO DI BLASIO TO HAVE HIM FOIST SUCH A HEINOUS ATTACK ON ROCKAWAY

Can you guarantee the parents of school aged children that need to walj by here daily that none of these residents of the shelter are not registered sex offenders?

Need to have more focus on this beautiful community. Shame.

We have enough adult homes of all kinds on this Peninsula. Please do not continue this assault.

Enough is enough! We shoulder a disproportionate number of these facilities on a very small peninsula. To put this here at all let alone near schools with 5,000 children is criminal!!!

Stop this disgraceful attack on a family neighborhood.

I personally think enough of shelters or any other city crap " housing projects " . Too much for Rockaway !

As a Rockaway home owner who endured the staggering losses of Hurricane Sandy, I know firsthand how challenging it has been for our community to recover from this devastating storm. Rockaway is slowly coming back, but to okay a for-profit landlord to locate a homeless shelter close to our schools and a neighborhood beginning to get on its feet is terrible. We already have more than our fair share of such housing. This is also a community with few employment opportunities and limited transportation. To imply that this homeless shelter is in the best interests of the men being housed is ludicrous and a sham. Please tell the proposed landlord to open a homeless shelter down the block from his home and the schools of his children. If he is so willing to profit on the backs of communities struggling to get on their feet, perhaps he should consider profiting on the backs of his neighbors as well.

I vacation in the Rockaway’s as my sister lives here, we visit every summer - absolutely NO to this proposed shelter. This is a beautiful area that already suffers from too many mentally ill, nursing homes, St. John’s etc etc - NO NO NO

I am concerned with the negative effect the homeless shelter will have on the neighborhood, from the safety of the students attending nearby schools, to the reduced property value of homeowners in the immediate vicinity, to the effects on local businesses. This was something thrown at the community with very little information regarding the individuals who will be residing at the home. We should have been given the courtesy of a discussion on this issue!!

This needs to be stopped!

My children live here and I fear for their safety if this happens. Please help this community to continue to restore what had been torn down. Please don’t let everyone’s efforts go to waste. There are better solutions for these problems.

We already have our fare share shelters and adult homes and homes for boys

Absolutely absurd to have an all men's shelter in Rockaway. Its building up not down. Put them someplace else.
