I moved here after Sandy and though I see some change, Rockaway Beach still has way to go to recuperate from all the devastation, and adding a homeless shelter to this area right now can make it difficult for further growth.

Within a few blocks of 2 schools... No way! Rockaway already has too many shelters that harm the community (thefts and assault).

Too many things no one wants end up in Rockaway. Put it in LIC or Astoria with better transportation.

We do not have resources in the Rockaway's to support a homeless shelter. And it will drive away the businesses that have tried so hard to successfully rebuild over the past 7 years after the devastation inflicted on the area by Hurricane Sandy. This will be a disaster for the Rockaway's.

I live down the block from this proposed shelter and I fear for the safety of my small children. This is a family oriented area with lots of kids in a nearby school. A terrible idea....
