Give Rockaway a chance to rebuild. We have a large amount of in need people on the peninsula already. We do our fair share of support. Now the city should respect that and stop dumping people on the peninsula with poor transportation and few jobs.

1. It’s strictly a men’s shelter, and is being placed Only blocks away from two schools. Our children deserve to be safe.
2. It is strictly a moneymaking prospect. It is not about the homeless. It is not about benevolence.
3. The prospective landlords want to cram cots into a warehouse and claim they care about the homeless? This is not humane treatment.
4. There are no jobs and other resources for these men to rehabilitate and get back on their feet here in Rockaway.

the neighborhood is finally making a comeback and the city returns to old ways taking a dump on the hard working people that try and make Rockaway a great safe place to live.........vote out democrats like di blasio and coumo the baby killer

Rockaway is overbuilt, overpopulated and no services, three roads, no parking, poor transportation , no jobs, no beach protection and no hospital. No one should be building anything here until we are taken care of as a community. Just as we start catching our breath and start rebuilding what we had prior to Sandy, we get more dumped on us. The city will leave these men here with nothing but a cot and the clothes on their back and then what? The building owner gets rich, the organization running the program gets rich and the city can say they saved 120 homeless men. And Rockaway is screwed.

I own home on 129 street Belle Harbor and went to St Francis and Stella Maris. Rockaway has had enough homeless people for a lifetime troubled youths from St Johns. Enough already
