This is way too close to schools and too far from support.

I am very against the homeless shelter being proposed for B101 St. It is to close to the high school ad junior high school and we in Rockaway are doing our part wit many nursing homes and other facilities

It would be wise to seek out an committee to research a more favorable location. The decision making as to where this homeless shelter should rest within the leaders, community board, neighborhood associations, retails establishments, schools, churches, synagogues who live and operate everyday in their community.

Tell me that a good number of our new neighbors won't be panhandling on our streets soon after they unpack.

Rockaway has more than their fair share of these types of facilities and has been a dumping ground for years. Why would the city be creating a neighborhood in Arverne and at the same time put a mens homeless shelter in the same place.

More planning should be done before a decision is made to measure the impact on the community. Also, the homeless should have access to medical, mental health facilities and job opportunities in addition to shelter.

Please, this neighborhood can not support this kind of shelter. Our infrastructure can not handle it. We have enough already. Thank you!

Do not do this!! Community cannot support more people in need. This is already a community in need without resources

There are schools with children near where these shelters are being placed, many resident are grown men with mental health issues, possible sex offenders . Rockaway is already congested with tons of adult homes. This is unsafe for the children and is it is depreciating the value of homes in the area.
No to shelter ! Out safety is first !
