Stop Dublin Port from turning away cruise ships from 2021 and turning away international cruise companies who want to call Dublin a home port.

Very shortsighted from Port of Dublin Company.

I fully support this petition.

I protest Dublin Port's decision to limit the number of cruise ships entering it from 2021 because of the damaging effect it will have on tourism in Ireland.

No one can afford to turn away visitors who contribute so much to the economy to the entire island of Ireland .

Seriuosly why would yous be turning away business from our ports !!!

So many people and small as well as large businesses will suffer if this is not resolved.

How is it that Dublin Port can make a decision that affects so very many of us in the tourism and hospitality industry without any consultation???

The government needs to think about their decision, the cruises docking in dublin are very important for Irish tourism! Tourism is a vital part of the economy for our we island.

The entire Tourism industry is creaking at the seams - as one of our key industries we are not investing in strategic thinking . Money being allocated to Fáilte Ireland for plans that are not taking the views of strategic partners “on the ground” who are experts in the field of Tourism and are not consulted.

If this is allowed to go ahead the fallout will see our unployment soar

It’s unbelievable when so many jobs rely on the tourist industry that this is happening.

Please desist from stopping so many cruise ships from using Dublin Port. Since they have their own beds it's a Win-Win for Irish Tourism at this time.

It is unthinkable that this should go ahead. Let wiser councils prevail !

Let the cruise ships continue to come to Dublin and help the economy!!

I was alarmed to hear of this decision. It shows a considerable lack of awareness on the part of the authorities at dublin port of the impact this move will have on tourism. The tourism industry in Ireland is a very important source of revenue, both north and south of the border. Hopefully sense will prevail.

just as Port of Cork plans to add a new berth in Cobh, this 'bad' decision may have a detrimental effect of these plans..Reconsider !

This crazy decision takes no account of the widespread damage to the economy just when Brexit hits. Turnaround Cruises mean lots of visitors who explore Ireland before or after they fly into Dublin. Rural Ireland needs everything it can get with Brexit causing agriculture to suffer.

Come on Dublin Port!!!! Why are you the only port in the world using this strategy? If you need investment there are smarter ways to go about it than trying to strong arm the entire cruise industry and harm your own local economy at the same time. Get real and don't destroy what took years to develop and nurture.

The loss to Dublin and all of Ireland by the proposals of Dublin Port are immeasurable at this time. It is money coming in to Ireland that stays here. So many businesses North and South will be severely affected and the visitors will also lose out by not having the privilege of landing in Dublin Port which is so safe, well run and so close to the city and other areas. The visitors spend the valuable grey Euro, Pound and Dollar and we will be a poorer country without it.
