Stop Dublin Port from turning away cruise ships from 2021 and turning away international cruise companies who want to call Dublin a home port.

Tourism as a tertiary industry had high added value to economy

I wish to express my dismay, disappointment and surprise at Dublin Port’s plans to in effect decimate the cruise ship industry in Ireland . Please reconsider this regrettable decision with urgency.

It makes a joke of the WILD ATLANTIC WAY to entice people to visit our shores.

This would be a big mistake.

Keep the ships coming!

Tourism is the lifeblood of the city. Stop this madness.

Reducing cruise ships into Dublin Port is going to have a negative impact not just for Dublin for the whole island. Not good for rural Ireland.

Has anyone in Dublin Port recognized the shortsightedness of their knee jerk decision to reduce cruise ship tourism ?

What a crazy decision, that has to be reviewed & stopped instantly with big public outcry and polititians backing our Tourism Industry!!! Dont abort CruiseShips from Dublin Port!

STOP! and think about the consequences of this shortsighted action..

I would just love to know who made the decision regarding cruise ships visiting Dublin. To have an industry, which is growing year by year, adding greatly to the economy all over the country. What are they thinking of? Once we, in Ireland, get things right, someone thinks "let's improve it" and makes a bags of the situation. Many industries have been closed down, only, when too late,to realise they should never have been touched. Remember*Irish Sugar* Reverse this crazy notion. Think of the ripple effect for jobs all over the island, Dublin, but over the whole island. Dublin Port admit you have not thought this through , and be brave enough to recognise your mistake. By doing that you are saying, you are wiser today than you were yesterday. No shame in that.

Ridiculous idea. What numbskull pencil pusher cane up with the idea to turn down business??

This is insanity turning away valuable tourism. A freight ship can berth in numerous ports such as Drogheda, Greenore, etc. Cruise Liners can only be accommodated in Dublin where the tourists want to visit.

Please allow cruise ships to come and go as they please. They are very good for our economy. Thank you.

Please support the tourism industry which is essential for promoting the Country, it’s people and culture. It provides employment & significant revenue to the State. Keep Dublin Port Open to Cruise ships. Ken O’Connor.
