Stop Dublin Port from turning away cruise ships from 2021 and turning away international cruise companies who want to call Dublin a home port.

For a state owned company to do this to its tax paying workers in the tourism industry is like shooting yourself in the foot. The figures on income from tourists coupled by the tax income to the state from all the people involved in supporting the tourism trade seems to be govt madness. Nothing new there

I am shocked that Dublin Port plans to turn away tourists coming to Dublin on Cruise Ships!! I will loose income & hundreds more tour guides not to mention coach companies, Taxi’s etc. shame on you Dublin Port

If the decision impacted the Stevedores or the other port workers in the way that this decision will impact the National Tour Guides and the coach drivers for whom this is a material portion of their annual income there would be uproar, protests, outrage at a national level. This will not be the case because it impacts those at the bottom of the food chain who have no union or other representation the decision can be made unilaterally and without consideration for the impact it has on a significant number of livelihoods. For that reason alone this is shameful - consultation would have been broader where the decision makers know they would be held accountable, but then those very decision makers do not even make the most basic provisions such as toilet facilities for drivers and guides so why would they care about our livelihood - take away theirs and see how they would like it!

Save our jobs!

Be a shame on Dublin port to go ahead with this. Ireland needs more of a boost in tourism not a decrease. Think of the impact it will have on people's jobs and not only tourism jobs it will have a knock on effect on buses, shops, other tourist destinations in Ireland with the limited amount of people visiting. Absolute disgrace that this is being done.

Decision that will have disastrous consequences for all who see the benefits of this sector to their lives and/or businesses. Whether they are publicans, tour guides, coach drivers, retail workers, restaurant owners , hotel owners or workers etc the list goes on and on and the recession this decision will cause for the tourism sector will see a lot of jobs lost.

They all want tourists in Dublin, but not the Cruise Ships or Tour Coaches that bring them into the City, not much has changed since the 80s.

It is so important to maintain this area of tourism in Dublin. Many jobs are depending on it as is the economy. Please reconsider

The decision to cut the numbers of Cruise ships in Dublin port should be scrapped.

This is taking away part of my livelihood as a qualified tourist guide for Dublin. Do not let this happen.
