Stop Dublin Port from turning away cruise ships from 2021 and turning away international cruise companies who want to call Dublin a home port.

Jonathan it is a ‘semi-state’ company and gets significant amounts of tax payers money. However they didn’t consult with the stakeholders! Not even tourism bodies.

A good and solid Irish welcome has always been the mainstay of this country , Dublin Port, if they continue in this direction will be guilty of a terrible 'own goal', and will never live down the damage done to the economy.

It is unbelievable that Dublin Port could think of stymieing the whole tourism industry across the island of Ireland in 2021 by limiting cruise ships in favour of cargo following Brexit.......and be allowed to proceed by Minister for Transport (and TOURISM!)Shane Ross. I am expecting reason to prevail and a reinstatement of regular cruise slots rather than this knee jerk reaction to Brexit and cargo issues. Urgent action required. Cruise companies plan two years in advance.

This is an incredible decision for a business (Dublin Port) to seriously reduce its income from a new growing international business (cruise ships) ! Wow ?
