So many businesses and people depend on the business that the cruise ships generate for Dublin , this cannot happen

Once the Cruise Companies leave it will be next to impossible to get them back in to the country again.

Another incredibly populist measure. Like in Amsterdam and other ports. When will they ever now...

This is a step backwards in a country renowned for its hospitality and welcome. Ireland of a thousand welcomes does not turn visitors away.

The cruise business is the fastest growing business in the world with all the economic impact (direct and indirect) to any country worth more than 50 million euro. Other country would love to have a business like this where there’s no major infrastructure needed . Just a good attitude and tours then you are ready for business You need to consider the fact that you are pushing away a business that bring more money than a square foot container will be on the ground

Terrible decision for tourism industry. It will affect jobs, venues all across Leinster and retailers.

The tourism sector is one of the best things we have going in Ireland- professional, well organised and employing thousands from coach operators, hoteliers, guides and catering. The cruise business is a vital market as it brings so many passengers who very often return for a longer visit - it is an excellent marketing tool . This decision by Dublin Port must be amended - cargo can be brought into any port , containers dont need the facilities that a capitol city can provide.

Resolution is needed now and not when too late and irreparable damage is done to a myriad of businesses and our international reputation with cruise line operators.
