Stop Dublin Port from turning away cruise ships from 2021 and turning away international cruise companies who want to call Dublin a home port.

What kind of crazy policy is this? Heads should roll at Dublin Port and ministerial level if it's allowed to go ahead. Protest time for Leinster House

After all the effort to boost the tourism industry in Ireland it seems unbelievable wanting to destroy the cruise ship sector now. Ireland is so dependent on foreign investment to create jobs and therefore very vulnerable should these companies pull out which makes it even harder to believe that a big part of a successful home grown industry providing huge employment should be dumped.
Surely there must be alternatives for cargo ships to offload their freight in other ports than Dublin. And if there are no alternatives at present they should be created immediately. There is money around for job creation, surely there should be money around for job retention!

That's turning away millions of euros for absolutely nothing. Visitors tourists spend alot of money here in the time that the cruise ships docks at port.

Brexit or no Brexit: the tourist industry brings people to Ireland whose visit contributes BILLIONS to the national economy, every year.
The people who arrive here on the cruise ships may represent but a small portion, but they do represent an important element . There has to be a way to solve the needs of the port as a cargo hub without reducing another part of the activities.
The economy should grow, not shrink!

It is hard to comprehend how Dublin Port can be allowed to act so recklessly with regard to the future of the cruise ship industry , not only for Dublin, but also, the knock on effects for the island of Ireland as a whole.

This decision is not logic and irrational. Tourism is so important for Ireland. But is kicked in by decisions like this. Please make this decision just be a bad nightmare and not a Brexit decision.

A site owned company It is not just Dublin that will suffer. The international cruise companies need to have our capitol city on the stops otherwise they won’t come to our other cities. This is economic lunacy

The decision to withdraw all those cruise ships that are willing to come to Dublin is an absolute disaster. Speaking for myself and my colleagues we depend on the income from the work that has been brought into the whole country. Who ever has made this decision should be ashamed of themselves. Leave well enough alone as ur doing nobody any favours.
