Driving on the beach damages fragile coastal ecosystems. Vehicles compact the sand, destroy wildlife habitats, and disturb animals that depend on quiet, undisturbed shorelines. This includes nesting turtles and shorebirds, whose eggs and young are especially vulnerable. Protecting beaches means limiting activities that disrupt these natural environments.

No beach driving- use the roads instead, and protect the turtles.

Beach driving is dangerous and damaging, with long-term consequences. We also pay to restore the beach to then have it damaged. It makes no sense.

Please do not allow vehicles to drive on the beach! This is where endangered sea turtles build nests, along with migrating sea birds and other wild life.

Stop destroying our natural beaches with heavy machinery, cars and trucks. Beaches cannot withstand that assault of weight and traction without destroying them. Beaches should be where families can let children enjoy freedom without fear of being run over.

Why are we taxed to stabilize the beach and the commissioners vote to allow driving on the beach that we just paid to stabilize???

Property owner on Amelia Island for 25+ years. It’s so dangerous and unnecessary to have cars on the beach. Lowers property values for all of us

Driving on the beach should only be allowed on the low end of the island and not past the north end of Amelia Island State Park.

South Amelia Residents are taxed by the Nassau County BOCC under the SAISS- MSBU to preserve the beach and the dunes and then the Nassau County BOCC allows those who don't pay the taxes to preserve the beach to drive and destroy the beach!! That is the WORST example of Government overreach and is likely illegal under Florida Law.
