I am a frequent visitor to Haight Street and I am very upset that this construction is interfering with the anniversary of the anniversary of the Summer of Love.

Upper Haight has had enough street closures, no parking signs, and gas line breaking construction for this year. Do not go back on your promise.

This project has been a disgrace from the beginning. The act of ignoring the merchants and threatening their businesses is appalling.

As a retail consultant for over 30 years I know the struggles Haight St merchants have been facing. The Summer of Love is a unique opportunity to celebrate this community and give merchants the chance to thrive. It is also an important time in this City's legacy. Do the right thing. If DPW had not hired an inadequate subcontractor that spent months doing it incorrectly, whereby it had to start all over with a new contractor, you wouldn't be needing to tear us up again this Summer. We are united on Haight St to see that we are treated fairly. We haven't even begun with the gas lines and evacuations this last year for bad work. Do the right thing this Summer and help keep us all in business

It seems as if the city is purposely sabotaging Haight Street. First they kill our concert that would have drawn thousands of tourists to the Haight. Now construction in the Spring when merchants need revenue after the slowest February in 40 years. This is unexceptionable

Give me a break. Honor what you said and stop trying to interrupt commerce in the Haight. Don't be so clueless. You could avoid a lawsuit.

Seriously? What now and why can't this be better coordinated? The construction and lack of resulting parking this winter already impedes shopping at haight street market and my favorite coffee shop. Most of the time not even workers onsite. Awful!!!!
