Sheridan neighbors — we need your voice.
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is removing all free parking around Sheridan Community Park without asking the community first. In a neighborhood full of apartment buildings with limited or no parking, this decision puts working families, kūpuna, and everyday residents at a serious disadvantage.
We’re not against DPR moving into the vacant building. But taking away all community parking without listening to us is unfair and dismissive.
Sheridan Park is already full of life — because we use it and we care for it. If DPR wants to be part of it, they need to work with us, not against us.
Sign this petition to demand DPR pause their parking plan and meet with the community. Let’s protect access, protect our neighborhood, and make sure our voices are heard.
No prior notification when this was going to happened. The parking in this area is bad especially during the day. So where are the residents suppose to park their vehicles now?
