Similar 'luxury' houses built on beautiful green space with trees & meadow destroyed near us is now constantly 'flooded'! The developers were even able to skirt round the 106 agreement so gave nothing to the community but took away so much. These greedy, ruthless developers in Devon must be stopped from destroying the natural evironment from irreversible harm!

Croyde has already been over run with huge house that sit empty for most of the year, ruining any sense of small village community for the locals throughout the rest of the year.

Is this development necessary? Will it provide housing that is actually lived in? Or yet more opportuniity for wealthy people from who knows where to become more wealthy. This will contravene the Neighbourhood Plan voted for by the residents of Croyde and Georgeham.

Croyde and surrounding areas are noted for their outstanding natural beauty. Its village have more than exceeded the minimum provision for new houses specified in the North Devon and Torridge Local Plan 2011 – This latest planning application (ref. 74488) is to put 5 market value, principal residence occupancy houses on the agricultural field next to Langsfield. None of these houses meets identified housing needs of the local community, which is overwhelmingly for social rented housing. They are all essentially substantial 4 bed houses. 3 x 4 beds and 2 x 3 beds - all out of reach price wise for local residents.
The damage to Local wildlife Should also be considered as well as the further impact to the local services which are already severely impacted by the ongoing development of the area.
