There are many reasons why this development should not go ahead, including, and not limited to, the following; it does not address the housing needs in the area, it puts the green fields and AONB in Croyde at risk of irreversible damage, it does not comply with several policies outlined in the newly adopted Neighbourhood Plan (including HE3: Rural Exception Sites, and BE5: applications outside the development boundaries.

We need to stop building on Greenland spaces we also need to stop 2nd homes we live here and can’t afford to buy because 2nd homes push up the prices and our towns & villages are deserted through the winter

Don't ruin the village with unaffordable housing

It's hard to see how exactly the same plan, previously refused, can be resubmitted without changes. The fact that it's been done over the Christmas/New Year period is a clear sign of the applicants devisivenes in pushing this through. It was refused on good grounds last time, let's hope that same sense prevails this time..

The area needs housing for local people not people moving here from other areas. the hospital is on red alert today ie staffing levels are dangerously low partly because nurses can’t afford to live in the area on the wages they are paid

Croyde has enough large luxury housing. We need housing that locals can afford.

You don't need big houses on that piece of land, they will most likely only be holiday homes anyway as they will be overpriced for any normal person to buy them, keep the green field and use it other ways and not to make silly profits

There are enough large houses for the super rich. There are not, however, even remotely enough housing for all of the people who work in the pubs and restaurants, the holiday parks and supermarkets. Affordable housing must be prioritised and our green spaces must be protected.

If this land is built on, it should be filling a need in local housing, not more large expensive homes.

This development should not go ahead. It should be made to be affordable housing for local people.

Croyde is losing its identity and sense of community with all this building of new houses and large luxury homes. My family has travelled to Croyde every year for over 40 years to holiday across several generations and slowly but surely the community we love to support is changing to the detriment of both local people and those who love the village as a holiday destination.
