Makai properties should not block coastal public areas and views. Development must be done mauka of Alii. Infrastructure not adequate.

This is sacred land. There should be a moratorium on any building on Alii Drive! Sewage seepage and traffic are my concerns!

As a business owner on Alii Drive and long time resident in Kailua Kona I totally oppose this development at Ala Kala. 5 story? We certainly don’t need any more condominiums especially this one! In my opinion it would be in the category of a white elephant!

County of Hawaii should purchase this property, to help preserve this jewel on Kona coast

It broke my heart when I first heard about the plans for this project. We live nearby and frequent this spot daily. In no way has the applicant considered the effect of such an invasively large and inappropriate structure on the lifestyle of the local community. Please keep your high rise industrial buildings in the cities where they belong and preserve the peaceful, natural feel of our neighborhood for all who live here to enjoy.

We must preserve our open space and low profile community. Don’t kill the goose for her golden eggs!

Don't do it. Dishonest and takes away shore line from our community.

please do not approve this project! It is not appropriate for our neighborhood and will create dangerous access to the beach.

This development is NOT what we want in our neighborhood, will endanger access to the beach, has inadequate size lot for parking and residents. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THIS PROJECT TO GO FORWARD.

I had the privilege to live at Ala Kala in the 90s. This is a beautiful, quiet and private space that is not overly developed. Any building over 2 stories would be be outrageous in this area. If this plot must be developed- it needs to be done in a way to respect the area, protect the historic aspects of this special place and definitely not be high density housing. Excavating without a permit- this should be halted immediately. I object to the current proposal of this project.
