Derek the landlord is considering cutting down the humungous conifer in the Wagon & Horses yard due to it affecting the satellite signal. We think the solution is to move the dish and not kill the tree.. This tree, (only one of 2 left as one has already died) is relatively unique in industrial Digbeth. Small things like this make the Wagon and Horses a special place in the music quarter and are integral to the vibe in there. Show your support for one of Digbeths last trees and sign the petition. He wont cut it down if enough of us ask him not to.

I spent the afternoon at the Wagon and Horses and it is impossible to imagine the yard without that tree shading the corner. People are stopping me to talk about memories they have sitting under those branches instead of just focusing on technology. I am still pushing for a conversation about moving the satellite dish because that tree has been here longer than any cable setup.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who finds our neighborhood tree irreplaceable. That conifer is the heart of the yard and it belongs to all of us who spend our time here.
